About this video
Executing a back take when the opponent inverts from Reverse De La Riva:
- As the opponent begins to invert, immediately control them with two grips: the left hand on their calf or the pad of the knee, pushing it down, and the right hand on their pants.
- Pull the opponent towards you, stacking their body on top of their neck to buy time and decide your next move.
- From this stacked position, jump over to the opponent's back, aiming to land in the truck position with their hips directly on top of yours.
- Use the same grips to assist the jump and transition into the truck position.
- Upon landing, kick your leg to adjust and place the opponent's hip on top of your body.
- Insert your leg inside and hook their shin, then adjust your body to secure the back take with a seatbelt grip.
- If the initial jump doesn't land perfectly, continue to swing your legs until you can get on top of your hips and secure the position.
- It's crucial to stack the opponent's body on their neck to make them uncomfortable and control the transition to the back take.
