About this video
Executing the Najmi Stomp to transition to the truck position for a back take:
- Begin with the same stomp motion used in the guard pass, stepping on the opponent's leg and jumping to the side.
- If the opponent does not turtle, instead of moving to side control, prepare to take their back.
- Transition into a smash pass position and underhook the opponent's leg with the hand that was on the pants.
- Walk towards the opponent's head, placing your left knee between their top and bottom leg to secure the position.
- Pull the opponent's triceps up to create space for the back take.
- Slide your right knee in between the opponent's legs, pinching your knees together.
- Without pausing, pull the opponent's arm up, turn your body towards their legs, and initiate a roll.
- During the roll, kick your legs to help rotate and end up on the opponent's back.
- Secure back control by grabbing the hip and shoulder, stepping on the mat, and inserting your hooks to complete the back take.
Repeat the sequence fluidly, ensuring to control the opponent's arm and create space for inserting your knee and completing the roll to the back position.
