Executing the Capizzi Lock from the cross-body Kimura position:
- Start by grabbing the opponent's hand and your own wrist, keeping their hand pinned to their body and your forearm resting on their shoulder. Maintain pressure on them to sell the attack.
- Slide your arm until your elbow passes over the opponent's wrist, then grab your bicep and lift the elbow up, keeping your arms relaxed.
- Pass your free hand underneath your own forearm and secure a grip on the opponent's tricep.
- Flail your wrist to apply the submission, which will make the opponent tap out due to the pressure.
- For larger opponents, after securing the grip, push your chest back while staying on your toes to increase pressure on their collarbone and shoulder.
- Ensure your hand is curled so your wrist is free to move, similar to the positioning for a rear-naked choke or guillotine.
- When applying the submission, pull the V shape created by your arms up to the opponent's armpit to maximize tension and control.
- It's crucial to grab the opponent's triceps firmly; otherwise, the submission will not work effectively against their bone structure.
- As you pull the V shape towards the armpit, elevate your wrist to apply pressure, forcing the opponent's arm into a spiral and causing them to submit.
