Did you know?
- Across 124 recorded matchups at the 2025 IBJJF Pan No-Gi Championship, 39% ended by submission, with points finishing the most matches at 55.
- The Straight Ankle Lock was the most common finish on record with 9, followed closely by the Rear Naked Choke at 8. In a no-gi bracket, leglocks and chokes split the top of the list, so both ends of the body were live.
- Gabrieli Pessanha won all 5 of her matches by submission on the way to double gold, a clean sweep of finishes as she continues her transition to no-gi.
- Roosevelt Sousa also took double gold with 6 wins, but only 1 came by submission, a reminder that stacking gold often comes down to control and points rather than finishes.
- The Roosterweight final between Osamah Almarwai and Eric Naples went the distance on points, with Almarwai taking it 4-0 in a tight one.
