About this video

This tutorial covers a counter for the loop choke finishing position. The steps are as follows:

  1. Switch your grip to your opponent's collar and control the back of their head.
  2. Snap down, kick your leg through, and bring your leg up to clamp above their shoulder.
  3. If your opponent tries to posture up or push down your forearm, clamp down to break their grip.
  4. If your opponent starts rolling over their shoulder, roll with them and start turning your foot.
  5. Let go of your loop choke and control the back of their head.
  6. Swing your leg around for the triangle and control the back of the head.
  7. From here, you can finish any way you want. You can roll back over your left or right shoulder.
  8. Make sure that your triangle is locked nice and tight, your toes are flexed up, and lift your hips.
  9. Bring their arm across, do any last second adjustments you may need, pull their head and squeeze.
  10. If your opponent doesn't stop and rolls through, hide your foot and keep rolling.
  11. Lock your triangle up, raise your hips, bring the arm across, and make any last second adjustments.
  12. Keep their head pulled down, put your foot on the hip, raise your shin, make sure that your toes are pointed towards the sky, lock, pull the head down and squeeze.
