Fabricio Andrey was born on March 5, 2000, in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. Raised in a family deeply connected to martial arts, Andrey began training capoeira under his father's instruction during childhood. At age 13, he expanded his martial arts repertoire by starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Projeto Nandinho, a local social initiative dedicated to youth development through grappling.

Fabricio's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey commenced under the expert guidance of renowned coach Melqui Galvão at Projeto Nandinho. Seeking greater competitive exposure and opportunities to compete internationally, particularly at the IBJJF World Championships in California, Andrey relocated to São Paulo. There, he received logistical and training support from Alliance Matriz Academy and the Dream Art Project (DAP), both closely affiliated with coach Galvão. While maintaining strong ties with Galvão, Fabricio earned his purple and brown belts under the mentorship of esteemed instructors Michael Langhi and Fábio Gurgel.

In August 2020, Fabricio Andrey returned to Manaus to receive his black belt directly from his original mentor, Melqui Galvão. This decision highlighted Andrey's deep respect and loyalty toward the instructor who had guided him since his earliest days in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

In 2023, Fabricio "Hokage" Andrey, alongside teammates Brenda Larissa and Luiz Paulo, announced a high-profile departure from coach Melqui Galvão’s squad. The trio officially joined the elite ranks of Alliance, marking a significant new chapter in Andrey's competitive career.

Expanding his competitive horizons, Fabricio Andrey signed with ONE Championship in late 2023 to participate in submission grappling super-fights. He made an impressive debut at ONE Fight Night 30 (2024), held in April 2024, defeating UK grappler Ashley Williams via unanimous decision in a 10-minute submission grappling match. This victory showcased Andrey's dynamic and aggressive grappling style to a broader international MMA audience.

Demonstrating versatility beyond traditional gi competitions, Andrey captured gold at the ADCC South American Trials, securing his qualification for the prestigious 2022 ADCC World Championships. His success in no-gi formats further solidified his reputation as one of the most adaptable and technically proficient featherweight competitors of his generation.
