Dante Leon was born on May 6, 1995, in Canada. Introduced to martial arts at age 6 by his father, Dante initially trained in boxing and various striking disciplines, establishing a robust foundation for his future in combat sports. At age 12, he transitioned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the guidance of Dean Hersche. Dante's early belt progression, from white to purple belt, occurred within the Gracie Humaitá/Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu lineage.

Seeking advanced training opportunities, Dante joined GF Team, where he trained under esteemed coaches Vitor Oliveira and Júlio César Pereira. His consistent success in IBJJF lower belt divisions quickly established him as one of the most promising competitors of his generation. In June 2017, Dante earned his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, marking a significant milestone in his competitive career.

Following his promotion to black belt, Dante Leon founded Adamas Jiu-Jitsu in Toledo, Ohio.
