Carlos Gracie Jr founded Gracie Barra, one of the largest academy networks in the world, and created the IBJJF, the federation whose rules define modern sport jiu-jitsu. His line reaches into nearly every country where the gi is worn.

Lineage follows black-belt promotions: links are checked against public sources where possible and shown as best-effort estimates everywhere else. Athletes train under many coaches — treat this as a map for exploring, not a certificate.
