About this video
Execute the Domoplata from the mounted position by first controlling both of the opponent's biceps and securing head control. Step over their arm, ensuring it wraps around your hip.
- After stepping over, shift your weight and roll your leg over the opponent's torso.
- Instead of reaching for the collar, step up and position your ankle across the opponent's neck.
- Apply all your weight onto your ankle to elicit a tap from the choke.
- If the opponent resists and attempts to come on top, grab their head and pull down to transition into a Gogoplata submission.
- When sitting up on top, drive your weight into your ankle and push your foot further down their neck to intensify the choke.
- In the event the opponent is resilient and manages to push you over, ensure you grab their head, push forward with your foot, and secure the tap.
