About this video
Starting from an Omoplata position where the opponent is preventing the finish by gripping the leg, a grip is made on the arm they are using to hold the leg. The foot is circled onto the opponent's bicep, emulating a spider guard to stretch them out.
- Release the figure four leg configuration and spin the foot around to hook under the opponent's bicep.
- Remove the foot that was on the bicep and use it to take the opponent backwards.
- Secure both grips on the opponent's sleeve and place a foot on their neck.
- Execute the submission by pushing off the neck and pulling the arm simultaneously, forcing the opponent to tap.
This technique transitions from an Omoplata to a spider guard-like position to create leverage and finishes with a submission that combines a push-pull dynamic.
