About this video
Executing the DLR Balloon Sweep when the opponent clears the hook:
- Start in a position where the opponent attempts to clear your leg hook.
- Instead of allowing them to establish a hook on the inner thigh, make your own hook.
- If the opponent manages to clear your hook, immediately move your foot to place your shin against their hip.
- Take the foot that was on the bicep and place it on the opposite side of the opponent's hip.
- Pull the opponent forward towards you.
- As you pull them in, simultaneously push their arms back to disrupt their base and balance.
- Repeat the shin placement and pulling motion if the opponent clears the leg again, ensuring to push the arms back each time to complete the sweep.
