About this video

This technique is a submission from the cruise control position that primarily uses your legs to control your opponent's forearm. This position helps develop the dexterity of using all your limbs effectively to submit your opponent.

  1. Start in the cruise control position. If your opponent removes their arm, they may use their forearm to post and try to back out a little.
  2. When this happens, extend your hips and reach for the floor with the leg that's controlling their head. Be heavy on their shoulder and head.
  3. Use the foot on the same side to fish for their elbow and bicep. Maintain control of their belt or pants and keep the tricep control for the cruise control.
  4. Kick out with your left leg while trapping their arm. If they try to move their arm, extend your leg.
  5. Feed their arm to your other foot. If they try to remove their arm, extend your leg again.
  6. Straighten your leg out and come under their head to finish in a triangle position. This results in a very tight triangle that doesn't require much adjustment.
  7. When locking the triangle, grab mid-shin, not your heel. Release the hook, hip escape out a bit to adjust, and lock as high up on your shin as you can. The higher you can bite, the tighter the triangle will be.
