About this video

This technique is a submission from the cruise control position, using your legs to fish for submissions. Here's how to execute it:

  1. Start in the cruise control position.
  2. Use your hip and leg extension to bring your opponent down to the floor.
  3. Once your opponent's hand is on the floor, fish for their forearm.
  4. Feed their forearm to your foot. If your opponent is not posturing up or is digging their head into the floor, don't struggle to look for the triangle. Instead, look for what's presenting itself to you.
  5. Take the arm that's controlling the tricep over, and maybe push the hand, getting comfortable in this position. This is still a solid control position.
  6. Next, sit back. This will cause your opponent to adjust due to the pressure.
  7. Use your hands to bring your opponent's arm closer to you. Now you have bicep control and can have wrist control.
  8. Once you're in this position, pull down. This results in a shoulder lock and also a joint lock on your opponent's elbow.

This technique is a combination of control and pressure, leading to a submission. It's a great example of using what's available to you in a given situation, rather than forcing a specific submission.
