About this video
When in the cruise control position, it's important to be aware of your opponent's potential to stack you. They may even use their right hand to lift your lower body. In this situation, you need to be ready to push and release, playing with the amount of pressure you're applying to their shoulder.
- If your opponent has a grip on your pants, making it difficult for you to slip, and they start to stack, push and let them come with the stack.
- As they come over, roll over your right shoulder.
- From this position, you can let go and grab their arm, looking for a mount, or circle out and attack the trap.
- Another option is to maintain control of their tricep. From here, you can drop and go for a triangle, or trap it and look for a mount situation.
Remember, it's crucial to roll over your shoulder, not your head. This technique is about playing with your opponent's weight and the pressure you're applying to their shoulder, adapting and capitalizing on what's given to you.
