About this video
Transitioning from Reverse De La Riva to Leg Drag when the opponent's far knee is on the mat:
- Start by underhooking the opponent's leg and grabbing your own shin for a strong grip.
- Invert by using your top leg to either step on the mat or kick out straight for momentum, bringing your knee under the opponent's near leg.
- While inverting, immediately grab the opponent's far hip to prevent them from squaring back up into you.
- Circle your top leg inside to switch from shin control to hooking the opponent's ankle.
- Extend your leg away, placing a hook below the opponent's ankle, while maintaining control of the far hip.
- Pull the opponent back towards you, reach your top hand across to control the leg drag position.
- Place your bottom foot on the mat, bring your head in, and secure the leg drag, keeping your left leg in place as your right knee comes underneath your body.
