About this video
Initiate the technique by scooting in and grabbing behind the opponent's knee while the other hand goes underneath the near leg to enter the Reverse De La Riva position. Secure the position by grabbing your own shin and placing the hook in, creating a secure angle that makes it difficult for the opponent to stop your inversion.
Place your foot on the opponent's hip and lift your hips up. Reach for the far hamstring and pull through to transition into the Reverse X-Guard. Attach to the opponent's hips by reaching with the free hand and grabbing around the thigh. Remove the arm from the hook, extend away, and lock hands around the opponent's waist, ensuring the back hand grabs the hip and is reinforced by the other hand.
Glue yourself to the opponent and drive them back onto their butt, maintaining your hooks. When ready to come on top, remove the bottom hook, place your foot on the mat, and drive your head into the opponent's chest to end up in the Leg Drag position.
For the Leg Drag, ensure the right elbow is kept short to avoid vulnerability to Kimuras and other attacks. As you come on top, maintain the position of the right leg, drive into the opponent, and secure the Leg Drag.
