He first stepped onto the mats at age 7 through tae kwon do, beginning a martial arts journey that would define his competitive identity. Coming of age during the golden era of Brazilian MMA in the early 2000s, Silva was captivated by the sight of Brazilian fighters competing at the sport's highest levels — an inspiration that pushed him to pursue combat sports with increasing seriousness.

Rather than committing to a single discipline, Silva explored multiple arts during his formative years. He transitioned from tae kwon do into muay Thai, drawn by its technical demands and striking intensity. At age 16, he discovered Brazilian jiu-jitsu — a turning point that would ultimately anchor his athletic career.
