Alexandre Molinaro was born on June 3, 1996, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and raised in the Rio Comprido neighborhood. Initially exploring sports such as swimming and judo, Molinaro discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at age 13. He began training under the guidance of instructor Vinicius Aieta, who carefully developed his fundamentals from white belt through purple belt, laying a solid technical foundation for his competitive future.

In 2015, Molinaro traveled to the United States for competition, where he encountered André Vasconcelos, widely known as André Alemão. Recognizing Molinaro's potential, Alemão invited him to join his professional team, marking a pivotal turning point in his career. Under Alemão's mentorship, Molinaro earned his black belt on June 5, 2017. Shortly after this milestone, Molinaro survived a life-changing shooting incident, profoundly reshaping his perspective and intensifying his commitment to training, teaching, and personal growth.

Molinaro founded his own academy, Molinaro Jiu-Jitsu, in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, where he serves as head instructor and co-owner. At his academy, he emphasizes a practical and versatile approach, integrating gi and no-gi techniques with realistic self-defense applications. His teaching philosophy prioritizes effectiveness and accessibility, reflecting his extensive competitive background and tactical understanding of Jiu-Jitsu.

As a prominent representative of the Carlson Gracie Association in the United States, Molinaro has significantly contributed to the team's growth and competitive success. His leadership and competitive achievements were instrumental in securing the No-Gi team title at the 2022 IBJJF American Nationals. Through competition and instruction, Molinaro actively promotes the Carlson Gracie lineage and methodology, strengthening the team's presence and reputation across the U.S.

Molinaro transitioned to the lightweight division, quickly establishing himself as a formidable competitor at major tournaments, including the 2022 IBJJF Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Known for his aggressive guard passing and strategic positional control, Molinaro employs a practical, competition-tested style. His versatility is evident as he consistently competes in both gi and no-gi formats, demonstrating adaptability, technical precision, and tactical awareness.

Molinaro expanded his instructional reach by conducting seminars nationwide, notably hosting exclusive workshops throughout the Midwest in 2024.
