Ruleset
Polaris
The UK's professional grappling ruleset: submission-only regulation with judges or draws, on mixed gi/no-gi cards.
How the ruleset works
Polaris pioneered the modern professional grappling card in Europe. Regulation is submission-only; depending on the era, unfinished matches ended in draws or went to judges' criteria that reward attacking jiu-jitsu. Cards mix gi and no-gi bookings, with time limits typically 10-15 minutes.
