Passing from the Inverted Half Guard begins in the knee slide position. Initiate the pass by pushing the opponent's knee and posting hands to cartwheel into the Inverted Half Guard.
- Lift the hips and push out the Reverse De La Riva hook.
- Push the opponent's knee and post one hand while leaning forward.
- As the opponent's leg is pushed back, post the other hand and perform a cartwheel over the opponent.
- Ensure the arm is under the opponent's armpit and grip the top pants leg.
- Place the bottom foot on the opponent's knee and escape the hips to free the foot.
- Transition into side control, making sure to avoid ending up with hips down by the opponent's knees to prevent being pushed away.
- Scoot the hips up to smash the opponent's upper body.
- Control the opponent's top pants leg, step on their bottom knee, and kick to release the foot.
- Secure the position and transition to a normal side control.
