Pedro Lucas was born on May 13, 2000, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, into a family already embedded in the martial arts world. His father, Rodrigo Ribeiro, holds a black belt under Master José Honório — a lineage that shaped Pedro's early exposure to jiu-jitsu and instilled a competitive mindset from the start. He took his first steps on the mats at a local Gracie Barra academy, where he built the technical foundations that would later support a decorated competitive career.

As his ambitions grew, Pedro transitioned to CT Honório (Campo de Treino Honório), seeking a more competition-driven environment better suited to his goals. Alongside his father, he also co-founded Garage Jiu-Jitsu, a grappling school that reflects both a family commitment to the sport and a drive to cultivate competitive talent from within their community.
