At age 6, following his parents' divorce, he relocated to Teresina, the capital of Piauí state, where his formative years and martial arts journey would unfold. Rather than locking into a single discipline early, Ribeiro sampled a range of combat sports — karate, judo, and capoeira — before discovering the art that would define his life.

At age 15, Ribeiro stepped onto the BJJ mat for the first time, a moment that reoriented his athletic path entirely. He began training at Projeto Social QG da Luta, a social project gym in Teresina, under the guidance of coaches Helder Mourão and Luiz 'Major'.
