The 2018 brown belt season marked the peak of that chapter. Lara claimed gold at the 2018 IBJJF World Championship and the 2018 IBJJF Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championship — two of the sport's most prestigious titles — and added further victories at the 2018 UAEJJF Abu Dhabi Pro and the 2018 IBJJF South American Championship.
