About this video
Several athletes have had a significant influence on the speaker's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game. Eddie Cummings, due to the extensive time spent training together, has had a super big influence. Garry Tonon, who the speaker first watched compete at the Ultimate Absolute Tournament, also had a significant impact. This tournament was the speaker's first real exposure to a jiu-jitsu tournament and sparked an interest in pursuing the sport competitively.
Imanari and Ryan Hall have also been influential. The speaker recalls being a white belt and consistently getting smashed while training with upper belts. However, after watching a Ryan Hall video on Facebook, the speaker started doing heel hooks from the 50/50 position. This technique was the only thing that prevented the speaker from getting annihilated repeatedly during training sessions. Therefore, these athletes have had the most influence on the speaker's jiu-jitsu game.
