About this video
Efficiency in training is prioritized over quantity, emphasizing the importance of personalizing one's Jiu-Jitsu journey and not comparing it to others. Each individual's resources, physicality, and constraints are unique and should shape their training and game planning.
Accounting for the actual time available for various Jiu-Jitsu-related activities is crucial. This includes time for rolling, drilling, conditioning, visualization, and studying. Even with limited time, strategic and efficient use of that time can lead to competitive success.
Drilling specific techniques, like the waiter sweep, with different levels of resistance and obstacles can significantly improve proficiency. Visualization during non-training times, such as commutes, can enhance understanding and automatic response during live training.
Rolling is essential for competitors to adapt to constant resistance, but without a clear focus on executing specific game plans, the effort can be wasted. Setting clear goals and using training time to work towards those goals can lead to more effective improvement in Jiu-Jitsu skills.
