About this video

Executing a pressure passing stack pass against De La Riva guard:

  1. Begin by breaking the De La Riva hook and controlling the opponent's collar.
  2. Lift the opponent's leg onto your shoulder and place your shin over their thigh.
  3. If the opponent starts framing or pushing away, consider switching directions.
  4. Retract your knee and reach for the opposite collar to make a cross-collar grip.
  5. Drive forward with your shoulder into the back of their knee, aiming to stack them.
  6. Reach for the back of their pants and use the grip to lift their feet, aiming to get their toes to touch the mat.
  7. Block their lower back with your knee to prevent them from flattening out.
  8. From this position, you can transition to a leg drag by using your head to push their legs to the side.
  9. Control the hip with one hand and go under the head with the other to secure side control.

Take your time to apply pressure and avoid rushing, as this can create space and reduce effectiveness. If the opponent attempts to roll back, use it to your advantage.
