Teshya Alo

Teshya Noelani Alo is a multi-discipline combat sports athlete from Honolulu, Hawaii, whose wrestling and judo foundations shaped her into a formidable competitive grappler. Before establishing herself in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Alo developed an elite athletic base across both disciplines — building the explosive takedown offense, body control, and positional dominance that define high-level grappling.

This cross-training background gives her a distinctly layered approach on the mat. She enters exchanges with the pressure and timing of a seasoned wrestler, while her years of judo and BJJ training sharpen her submission awareness from virtually every position. The combination makes her difficult to categorize and even more difficult to gameplan against.

The 2025 competitive season marked a decisive breakout for Alo, as she captured three ADCC Open Championships and established herself among the most decorated no-gi grapplers of that year. The triple title run signaled her arrival as a serious contender on the international grappling circuit, drawing attention to both her results and the diverse combat sports background driving them.

On January 5, 2026, Alo appeared on JitsCast #59, where her rapid rise and imminent ONE Championship debut took center stage. At that point in her career, she stood on the threshold of what was described as her biggest Jiu-Jitsu match to date.

Alo signed with ONE Championship for her promotional debut — a milestone reflecting her standing as one of the sport's top emerging talents. She faced Helena Crevar at ONE Fight Night 39 on January 24, 2026, in a matchup that carried significant anticipation given her dominant 2025 campaign.

The bout ended quickly. Crevar submitted Alo via Estima Lock in approximately 100 seconds, delivering a rapid and decisive finish in Alo's ONE Championship debut. While the result represented a setback, competing on ONE Championship's global platform affirmed her recognition as a rising force in submission grappling.
