Tayane Porfirio vs Gabrieli Pessanha

At BJJ Stars 15, Tayane Porfirio opened at a determined pace, pressuring Gabrieli Pessanha toward the edge of the mat. After about a minute on the feet, Pessanha pulled guard and threw up a triangle, but released the lock against strong posturing from Porfirio. After a moment of pummeling, Pessanha transferred to an omoplata and swept to top position in a scramble.

A leg lock exchange followed, with Porfirio working a toe hold and Pessanha countering with an ankle lock. Pessanha re-established top position, and Porfirio turtled up. Pessanha continued to attack, taking the back and working a collar choke from the belly-down position, where she secured the submission.
