Rebeca Lima vs Aurélie Le Vern

Rebeca Lima defeated defending champion Aurélie Le Vern by unanimous decision at UFC BJJ 7: Tackett vs Rocha to claim the UFC BJJ women's featherweight championship. Le Vern opened aggressively, taking Lima to the mat and working from inside her closed guard, but Lima transitioned to the back and came close to finishing a rear-naked choke before Le Vern escaped. Lima continued to threaten with ankle lock attempts throughout the first round and capped the round by exploding off the mat to land on top of Le Vern. In the second round, Le Vern pressed from the top while Lima worked off her back, and a straight ankle lock attempt by Lima briefly threatened before Le Vern cleared the position and the round ended without a finish.

The third round produced a leglock exchange after Lima entered for an ankle lock and Le Vern countered with a kneebar attempt. Lima responded with a kneebar attempt of her own, and Le Vern followed with a last-gasp Aoki lock, but neither woman could secure the finish. All three judges scored the match for Lima, giving her the women's 145-pound title. The victory came one month after her teammate Cassia Moura won bantamweight gold at UFC BJJ 6.
