Lucas Barbosa defeated Nick Schrock by unanimous referee decision to claim the Light Heavyweight title at 2017 FIVE Grappling Super League Light-Heavyweights.

Both competitors opened the match with powerful takedowns. Once on the ground, Barbosa worked from top position throughout, completing one guard pass and coming close to taking the back.

Barbosa also attacked a toe hold that forced Schrock to spin out, though Schrock survived and the match went to the judges, who awarded the decision to Barbosa.
