Upon earning his BJJ black belt in 1994, Pacífico moved immediately into coaching, channeling his expertise toward a purpose that extended well beyond sport. Partnering with Cássio Pereira Honda, he launched a jiu-jitsu program at FADISC, a law school in his hometown of São Carlos. Named Equipe Bushido, the initiative was conceived from its inception as a social project with a clear mission: to provide jiu-jitsu training to children from impoverished backgrounds.
What set Bushido apart from commercially driven academies of the era was its emphasis on community access over profit. As the program grew in reputation and reach, it expanded beyond São Carlos to nearby cities including Pirassununga, Monte Alto, and Taquaritinga, building a regional network rooted in the same grassroots ethos with which it had been founded.
