Early Titles and Black Belt Debut
Linke's competitive record reflects sustained excellence across multiple belt levels and age divisions. In 2006, competing as a brown belt, he claimed gold in the Open Weight division at the European Championship — an early statement of the competitive force he would become at black belt.
In 2007, making his Senior 1 black belt debut at the European Championship, Linke earned silver medals in both the weight category and the absolute division — a commanding first appearance on the black belt podium. He returned to the European Open podium with a bronze medal in 2008 and again in 2009, demonstrating the consistency that defined his competitive character.
Peak Years and International Reach
In 2011, Linke claimed gold at the London Open in the Senior 1 division, reaffirming his standing as a top-level competitor well into his athletic career. His finest competitive moment arrived the following year at the 2012 European Championship, where he captured gold in the Senior 2 division — a fitting capstone to a decorated international career.
Alongside his BJJ competition career, Linke also competed in MMA internationally, including bouts in Brazil and the United States, further illustrating his versatility and commitment to the full spectrum of combat sports.
