Tayane Porfirio vs Ffion Davies

Tayane Porfirio and Ffion Davies met at GrappleFest 9 in a closely contested match. Porfirio came out aggressively, taking Davies down with force early on. Davies weathered the pressure and Porfirio's stack pass attempts, then began to impose her own offense after the one-minute mark, earning back control on two occasions. Porfirio's build, however, prevented Davies from properly connecting her hands and maintaining control for extended periods.

Davies appeared to get the better of the positional exchanges through sweeps and back control, but she played a points-oriented game. Most or all of the submission attempts came from Porfirio, though with limited control. Because this was a submission-only event where submission attempts carried the most weight, Porfirio was awarded the win.
