Tainan Dalpra vs Elijah Dorsey

Elijah Dorsey and Tainan Dalpra meet in a rematch from The Crown at the 2025 IBJJF Brazilian National Championship. Tainan pulls guard early and Elijah scrambles for position, but finds himself stuck in X-guard. He steps and balances well but struggles to escape, eventually working back to a more manageable De La Riva guard with seven minutes remaining.

Over the next few minutes Elijah improves his passing, cycling through double unders, loose passing, and knee slides while staying largely safe. Tainan eventually gets back to the legs, kicks Elijah up, and transitions into a cross ashi garami, which is legal under certain circumstances in this ruleset. He uses it to complete the sweep, going up 2-0 with four minutes left. Elijah explodes out quickly and they reset standing. Tainan pulls again and Elijah nearly passes, earning an advantage, but Tainan pulls him into 50/50 guard. Tainan wrestles up, scores another quick 2 points, and pulls again.

With thirty seconds left Elijah goes for the arm from guard in a deep submission attempt, but Tainan ends up on top and clears the position before time expires. Tainan wins the match, though it was another close call for a top competitor against Elijah Dorsey.
