Oliver Taza vs Jonnatas Gracie

Oliver Taza defeated Jonnatas Gracie by decision in the No-Gi GP Quarterfinal at BJJ Stars 15. Taza initially pulled guard but returned to his feet, where he was met by aggressive wrestling from Gracie, who quickly attained top position and secured a leg drag. While defending the passing attempt, Taza tied up Gracie's legs and recovered to guard. Gracie transitioned to a body lock pass but overcommitted, and Taza came out on top. The position change was short-lived, as Gracie returned to his feet and the match resumed standing, at which point points came into effect.

Taza shot in several times, but his third attempt left him in a front headlock, where Gracie secured top position and briefly attacked the neck before working toward a pass. Taza nearly reversed the position as Gracie pressed forward, and eventually settled into closed guard. Gracie worked from inside the closed guard with his head down, and Taza appeared to appeal to the crowd or the referees to penalize Gracie for stalling. The match ended with no score on the board, and the referees awarded the victory to Taza.
