Eduardo Rios vs Santeri Lilius

Eduardo Rios came into this Polaris 9 match stating his intention to be active and put on a show, and he followed through on that promise. Every time an opening presented itself, Rios looked to keep the match moving and dynamic. Santeri Lilius, visibly the larger of the two, opted for a slow, top pressure style that never fully committed to finishing, which worked against him despite his positional control for much of the bout.

Although Lilius spent the majority of the match in dominant positions, the judges awarded the decision to Rios. The early takedown he secured and Lilius's overall lack of ambition throughout the match appear to have been the deciding factors in the judges' scoring.
