Between 2009 and 2017, he accumulated gold medals at the Brazilian Nationals across the Pewee, Junior, and Teen divisions — a run of dominance spanning nearly a decade of age-category competition that announced him as one of the most gifted young grapplers in the country.

His transition to brown belt maintained that standard without interruption. At the 2023 IBJJF European Open, Eduardo claimed gold in the featherweight division, opening his brown belt international season with a championship performance. That result was reinforced by consistent podium finishes at the sport's most competitive events: bronze medals at the IBJJF World Championship and Pan Championship in 2022, followed by another Pan Championship bronze in 2023. Competing in the featherweight division at 64 kg (141.5 lbs), Eduardo never finished outside the top three at a major IBJJF event he entered across two full years at brown belt.

The fact that the promotion was tied to an international championship rather than a domestic Brazilian event spoke directly to the global scope his career had assumed.
