Andrea Baggio's competitive career traces a steady upward arc across belt levels, marked by consistent results on both European and international stages.
Purple and Brown Belt Highlights
At purple belt, Baggio claimed gold at the Scandinavian Open in 2005, signaling his emergence as a serious force within the European circuit. He also captured the ADCC Italian Trials title, demonstrating his versatility across both gi and no-gi formats. Advancing to brown belt, his results reached a defining peak in January 2008, when he entered the IBJJF European Open and won the Brown Belt Master Division — a victory that encapsulated years of disciplined training and competitive refinement.
Shortly after that European triumph, Federico Tisi awarded Baggio his black belt — a milestone tied directly to the performance that preceded it and representing the culmination of an eight-year journey. Baggio carried that momentum into the black belt division without missing a step. He returned to the European Open podium in 2009 with a bronze medal in the Black Belt Master Division, added another bronze at the CBJJE European Championship in 2010, and in 2011 extended his competitive reach to the Abu Dhabi Pro Warsaw Trial, where he again reached the podium. Each result underscored his sustained commitment to testing himself at the highest levels of the sport well into his black belt career.
