At the final of the 2025 IBJJF Brazilian National Championship on April 26, 2025, Tayane Porfirio defeated Gabrieli Pessanha on points in the Super Heavyweight division, ending Pessanha's 166-match undefeated streak. Porfirio won by a score of 4-2, scoring early and managing the clock before adding two more points off a takedown midway through the match.

Pessanha pressed forward throughout but could not break through Porfirio's defense, managing only two points off a sweep in the final second of the match. The result was reported by BJJ Heroes in May 2025.
