Ffion Davies and Talita Alencar met at Polaris 11 competing for the 55 kilogram title. Davies worked through scramble after scramble, repeatedly attempting pressure passes in an effort to wear Alencar down. The strategy began to show results after the five-minute mark, as Alencar started to fade.

Alencar showed resilience throughout, surviving a number of dangerous positions to the final buzzer, but ultimately lost the match by decision.
