A Versatile and Prolific Competitor
At black belt, Pedro Agrizzi built a consistent and wide-ranging competitive record across the IBJJF open and continental circuits. Competing primarily in the Medium-Heavy to Super-Heavy weight divisions — spanning 88.30 kg to 100.50 kg — he demonstrated the technical adaptability to perform at a high level in both Gi and No-Gi formats across multiple regions.
The 2019 Breakthrough
The year 2019 represented one of the most prolific stretches of his black belt career. Within that calendar year alone, Agrizzi claimed gold at the Rio Winter Open, the Washington Open, the Cincinnati Open, the Houston Open, the Vitória Open in both Gi and No-Gi formats, and the Belo Horizonte Spring Open. This run of victories demonstrated not only his technical consistency but also his capacity to compete at a high level across geographically diverse events.
Continental and Regional Titles
Agrizzi continued to perform strongly in the years that followed. In 2020, he won the CBJJE World Championship, affirming his competitiveness beyond the IBJJF structure, and reached the final of the IBJJF Rio BJJ Pro. The most significant title of his black belt career came in 2021, when he claimed first place at the IBJJF South American Championship — a prestigious continental event that stands among the highest-level recurring titles on the South American circuit. At the same championship, he also earned a silver medal in the No-Gi division, underscoring the breadth of his game across both rule sets.
