Lydvo's competitive record reflects sustained excellence across multiple belt levels, with the IBJJF European Open serving as a particularly consistent proving ground. He made an early impression by earning bronze at the 2016 IBJJF European Open as a blue belt, then returned in 2017 to claim gold at the 2017 IBJJF European Open, also finishing second in an additional division that year.
At purple belt, Lydvo continued to build on that momentum, winning gold at both the 2019 IBJJF European Open and the 2020 IBJJF European Open. His 2019 season also featured a bronze medal at the 2019 IBJJF World Championship, underscoring his ability to perform on the sport's biggest stage.
Lydvo's brown belt campaign proved to be the most decorated chapter of his pre-black belt career. In 2022, he claimed gold at the 2022 IBJJF European Open, added a bronze at the AJP Grand Slam in London, and capped the year with gold at the 2022 IBJJF World Championship — the sport's most prestigious title and the defining achievement of his colored belt years. Carrying that momentum into his black belt debut on the international stage, Lydvo finished as silver medalist at the 2023 IBJJF European Open in his first major appearance at the highest competitive level.
